Catching up

Hello All-

I hope everyone's week is going well. I'm so glad the rain has stopped for now. I just returned fromSt. Michael School. It was visit a Catholic School day and they asked me to do tours. The only problem is we didn't have anyone come in. It looks like we need to do a better job publicizing this next year.

Say a little prayer for me tomorrow. At 9:oo I am meeting a husband and wife team that are Real Estate Appraisers about the possibility of becoming an appraiser myself. It's a business opportunity that presented itself and sounded interesting. It's a long shot but I quess if you don't talk to people you will never learn.

Dawn- sorry we missed your concert on Monday night. A.J. had Cub Scouts. I hope it all went well.

Sarah- I hope your week is going well. I haven't seen any new posts from you this week.

Aunt Jean- I hope you like the new van. Don't worry about filling up the tank. One tank should last you a lot longer than the Focus.

If the regulars are getting together this weekend, I am hopeful we can join you. Tom is working on Saturday but i believe Sat.evening we are free. On Sunday I have something going on from 2-4 but then am free.

Take care everyone and hope you are all having a great week.

Dear Wonderful Family, What a trip this blog is. I have sent things out, not to be seen again by myself, but I have read things that warm my heart and bring me great joy. Like I've said with the grandkids - who has the best grandkids in the world...We Do! That must be a reflection of the kids we produced with the grace of God. Thank you all. We love you and God bless. And, in regard to the blog, if anyone can share some wisdom as to where we go, what we do, feel free.
Love you all, Mom AKA Grandma

The TurkHill Fitches

Well hello there everyone!
For those of you who did not hear - We had to take Robin to the Dr. this past Sunday for what we thought may be Roseola, but it ended up being an allergic reaction. We have no idea what caused it, but it only lasted a couple days and Benadryl worked. While we were at the doctors, we found out she has a double ear infection! Poor baby. She had not even been complaining - she is such a happy girl. :-) Hard to believe she is already 3 months old!
We went to see Tom, Jeanine and AJ's new house this past Saturday and it is really nice! I took lots of pictures, much to Jeanine's dismay since they were not unpacked yet, and hope to have them on the Kodak site soon. I realize I am still behind on pictures.....can't imagine why. ;-)
Five week reports come out for school this week - we already know Dawn has a 90 in Chemistry, so this year seems to be going much better than last year - somebody knock on wood please! This will be Morgan's first 5 week report and we can't wait - she LOVES school.
The driveway is progressing......slowly, but it is progressing. They have very little time left to get the paving done before winter. I will be putting pictures of the driveway and front yard on the Kodak site as well. One of the retaining walls is gone as well as the big huge bush from the front yard. It will be very interesting to see what kind of plantings are put in next year! God only knows and he ain't telling! ;-)
Gotta go, almost time for Robin to eat again!
Lots of love,
The TurkHill Fitches

We heard from Sarah and comments from Jean, too!

Sometimes we get mixed up how to add to the blog, to make comments, etc., but Sarah seems to be really good at it. She sure sounds like one busy girl. Listening to her schedule makes us tired. She is taking orders for her senior class trip - yes, we know, she's not a senior yet, but they start early. At any rate, she is taking orders for paper, tags, etc. Grandpa ordered something Harley Davidson.

Hope everyone is having a great week.

Hello Dear Family,
We were so excited when Sarah called last evening and indicated she had seen the blog. Have the rest of you seen it? Did you read Sarah's comment? I did not check the blog before composing, something I am sure that I should do, but - hey, we'll get it...cut us some slack - we're older!

Told people about our family blog today and many were impressed and even challenged to do the same with their families. Someone, however, asked me if I knew how to "?text-message?", I think that's what was said. Does anyone know about that? If it's you, Sarah, we will really be impressed with your knowledge - must be either a great school system, or a Dad with tech education, or a very brillant twelve year old, or all of the above. Anyway - happy fall, and love you all!!!

SO Sorry about Yogi - We've concluded that Abby has to come to our house to visit him next time.
I was successful with getting my deposit back from Fairport Ford. Jim VanHoesen called tonight and may have a 2004 Freestar van with 10,000 miles on it for me to look at sometime this week. Keep your collective fingers crossed.
Good news in the jewelry business! My electrolysis lady said if I put together an earing tree and other such displays for my watches, necklaces and bracelets, label/price everything, make checks payable to...etc., I can start selling my things in her office!
November 9, she is hosting a Women's Night where vendors have their tables set up in the lobby of her building and we each provide a dish of food/snacks/drinks or whatever and display our services. We all pitch in 10 or 15 dollars towards a newspaper ad to advertise to the public. She invited me to take part. This is exciting and a little overwhelming too. If things go as well as everyone else thinks it will, I will be busy, busy, busy!
Mike applied to Egypt Fire Station to join as a volunteer fire fighter! Cal says he feels safer already! Isn't that sweet? He must have asked me 4 times if I was sure I wanted him to do this! I have been telling him for years he should join. He has to be interview and voted in, which should take about two months. Talk to everyone again soon! Thank you for doing this!
Love to all,
Jean

Good weekend

Greetings! Jim and Sharon and Abbey were here and we all had a wonderful weekend. Jim and Sharon did not run around Canandaigua Lake, but did their 22+ miles along the canal. Canandaigua wanted to have specific legs run by the members on the relay team and would not allow Jim and Sharon each to do 22 and another team member to do the additional six of the 50. Mom had volunteered to do the six. Maybe next year. No matter we still had a great time. The only mishap was Yogi lifting his leg when he came here to visit Abbey. He was quickly taken home. Yogi cannot come to Grandma and Grandpa's house until he learns to behave.

Hope the weather downstate was as super as it was here. It's been beautiful.

Jim set up this blog for us - I wrote something yesterday, but could not figure out how to get it in cyber space. Jim has accomplished sending us pictures. We'll try again. "Talk" to you all soon.

Love you all, Mom and Dad!!

One of the things that I deeply appreciate about our great family is the way that we seek to listen to each other - I saw this over the weekend with our many conversations around the table - one person speaking, others giving full attention - what a great model.
